Good For Your Soul
Salt & Light Volume IV, Issue 34 by D Scott Prindle

"Blessed are those who are pure in heart for they shall see God." (Matthew 5:8)

Pillar of Honesty
To want to be really true, really real... is how you'll see God at work in your business and your life.

We came across this video a while back. It illustrates the culture of advertising the world does business in today, which has shaped the values and expectations of our society.

Advertising often has ulterior motives. By carefully constructed deception, advertisers almost always portray a product in terms that are not only flattering, but unrealistic.

In short, the culture of advertising is a culture of lies. What can you do to counter the effects of our culture? Go counter-culture. Let honesty become a pillar in your business.

Pure Motives
If you want to be wise in business and the salt of the earth, be consistent between who you appear to be and who you really are. Manipulating others by distorting reality is not a good strategy to promote business.

Model your advertising by the saying, "What you see is what you get (WYSIWYG)". Promise less and deliver more. People will take notice and become loyal customers for the long haul as you distinguish yourself from your competitors.
