Pillar Of Righteousness
Salt & Light Volume V, Issue 39 by D. Scott Prindle

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33)

scott Pursuing Righteousness
It was only by God's mercy and grace that I (Scott) came into His Kingdom in 1979, my senior year in college.

Let's keep building Wisdom's house. Pillar #4 is pursuing Righteousness.

Seek
Another way to think about obtaining righteousness is to do what God requires. Man has tried to meet the requirements throughout the ages by way of religion. It's never worked.

Only when we finally realize we cannot be perfect because we are not perfect- needing God's mercy and grace- do we discover His righteousness by way of the Cross of Christ.

Know
Finding salvation in Christ, the barrier of sin is now gone. We can have intimate fellowship with the Father. We begin to know that we matter to God and that His power can change us.

As our knowledge of God increases, we love Him because He first loved us.

"SEEKING,
KNOWING,
LOVING"

Love
It's like dating. Did you marry the 1st person you dated after the 1st date? It took getting to know each other before you decided whether or not to go the next step... LOVING.

The word love is the pivotal word in the Bible.

Whatever or whomever we love will motivate us. Our primary motive in business must be for His righteousness... success will follow.

Next week we'll add the 5th pillar.
