Have You Tasted?

Taste And See!
Salt & Light Volume V, Issue 4 by D Scott Prindle

"Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" (Psalm 34:8)

Just A Sample
When we attended a roll out of a breakthrough healthy energy and focus drink, 24K, we thought, "this is awesome!"

The video's, science reports, testimonies, flyers, packaging... all the hoopla was amazing.

Then to our great surprise we were one of only 200 who were given 24K to try for ourselves. As you might guess, the real thing was better than what we could imagine.

The look, the taste, the smell, and most of all... the results! It became real. Up until then we had only seen the show.

The Real Thing
That's how it is sometimes with "church". You go. You feel good about going. You think you've heard or seen it all, but you've only tasted a sample. And yes it's good, but what about the rest of the week?

You taste the real thing when you leave and do business the rest of the week. You taste, feel, smell and experience Jesus as you trust in Him. You see God at work, whatever that might be for you.

worship can
become just
a show.

If that's not happening, then Sunday worship can become just a show with you as a spectator! You can miss tasting the real deal the rest of the week.

Church isn't someplace you go, it's who you are... someone you are seven days a week. So go to church, but then go be the Church.

Taste the real thing and avoid being the bystander.
