Core Concepts for Success
June 10, 2009
Hi,

Core Concepts For Success
Salt & Light Volume II, Issue 15 by D. Scott Prindle

"The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes."
(Proverbs 21:1) robin

Common Sense
One of the things Laurie and love about our Teton Valley home in June is watching all the water melt off the mountains and surge into our rivers, creeks and canals.

In fact, the water that flows through our property is called seasonal, because it only flows during the runoff... about May through July. This year we had over 500 inches of snow so common sense tells us we'll have a good runoff.

Leaders Know the Difference
Business leaders can and should make their plans, but they must never forget that it is God who controls the future. Successful leaders remember this and have the common sense to know the difference between being in charge and being in control.

"We don't know
what the future
holds, but we
know the One
who holds the
future!"

We kid ourselves if we think we are in control. We may have charge of a business, but the best we can do is remain under control. The Lord eventually determines the way the water will flow.

God is the ultimate leader. It has been rightly said: "We don't know what the future holds, be we know the One who holds the future."

Next week we'll talk about a "formula" for success.
