Mile Markers or Miracles?
Salt & Light Volume II, Issue 29 by D. Scott Prindle

"Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live." (Deuteronomy 4:9)

Urgency of the Moment
Did you miss us last week? We were traveling in Montana and had Internet connection problems from the Wi-Fi in our hotel room.

Technology is great... when it works!

In the urgency of that hour I could only see what wasn't working. What I missed was what was working.

God was at work giving Laurie and I special time together with special people.

It turns out not publishing our weekly Salt & Light E-zine wasn't the end of the world.

Miracles All Around Us
An old Jewish story says that when the Israelites fled Eqypt, they followed each other so closely, so diligently that they never noticed the miracle happening around them.

The waters of the Red Sea parted before them in a great spectacle. But the Israelites wee so caught up with following each other and the urgency of the moment... they failed to notice God's bigger drama unfolding within and before them.

God at Work
Life can be like that. You get so busy doing the next thing that you fail to notice how God is working in you now.

Let me ask you this question. As you travel through the day, will you lock your gazes on the mile markers... or will you see the miracles... the high calling of your daily work?

God is at work.
