Love Your Way to Success
Salt & Light Volume II, Issue 4 by D. Scott Prindle

"Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others." (Philippians 2:4)

Laurie and I gathered with some fellow marketplace ministry partners this past weekend in Fort Worth, Texas. As we listened to all the different ways peoples' lives are being changed we are convinced of one thing:

The vast majority of Christ's work being done through the marketplace is the result of loving others by looking out for their interests.

Time and again we hear how someone cared enough about another person that they were willing to put aside their fears, failures and judgments to reach out in love. The results are nothing short of miraculous.

Mariana Bridi

Some of you may have heard of the shocking death last month of 20-year-old Brazilian beauty queen Mariana Bridi from what began as a urinary tract infection caused by the drug-resistant bacteria pseudomonas aeruginosa.

The bacteria spread quickly through her body. In a desperate bid to save her life, doctors amputated her hands and feet, but she ultimately succumbed to the illness.

Wanda Clements from Tennessee was headed for the same fate. Her infection began in her finger. Soon the flesh-eating bacterium was consuming her tissue. Medical treatments did nothing to stop it. Due to a health insurance policy that wouldn't cover her treatment, the hospital sent her home to die.

A home business owner told Wanda about something that might help her. Within two days of using a patented supplement her finger began to miraculously heal. We heard her testimony and saw the before and after pictures. Today she is healthy and telling everyone how God healed her.

What if this business woman did not reach out in love? What if she let fear stand in the way of her convictions? Wanda most likely would not be alive today.

Love is powerful. It changes lives and it can change your business. As you reach out in love to others through your work, there will always be rewards. Some of those are treasures being stored in heaven, but some will bless your business.

The greatest rewards are the changes within yourself as Christ transforms you into His image. Love enables you to conquer the things that hold you back from God's best. Love enables you to reach out to those that you serve through your business.

Love Never Fails,
