Do You Limit God?
Salt & Light Volume II, Issue 6 by D. Scott Prindle
"Yes, again and again they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel." (Psalm 78:41)
Do I limit God? This is a question Laurie and I recently asked ourselves.
Can We Limit God?
We limit God every time we "tempt" God in our hearts because we don't trust His great love for us.
We limit His ability to reveal Himself to others through our testimony.
God has called you to be His witness... to be a testimony to His power at work in and through you. How can you be that witness? By giving your heart completely to Him:
Jesus is our example. When He faced the cross He did not retreat. He remembered His Father's love. He trusted His Father's love. He pressed on in His Father's love.
Never forget how His love drew you and how His power set you free to live a transformed life! You are a new creation in Christ.
God is for you. Jesus removed the guilt and shame of your sin once and for all through the finished work of the Cross. He has your best interests at heart.
Move forward with God. Difficult times are times to overcome... and will lead to fulfillment of the promise He made to make you Christ like.
Jesus embraced His Cross with passion because of the promise of His Father. Today you are a living testimony to the resurrection power of God because Jesus did not limit God. He was raised from the dead!
Does God have your whole heart today?
