Meeting Universal Needs
Salt & Light Volume II, Issue 8 by D. Scott Prindle

"If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink." (Proverbs 25:21-22)

Jesus genuinely cares about other people. In fact He would often travel to great lengths to get the message of the Kingdom out to people in remote areas by meeting their needs.

On several of our business trips we have had opportunities to meet people. From Americans to Austrians people have the same basic needs.

They want to belong, have a sense of worth, and feel competent.

Is Your Business Meeting These Needs?
Do people want to associate with you and your company? Do you communicate that they are more than just "customers" or "clients"? (belonging)

Most of us do a good job letting our patrons know how much we value their business. Do you also do a good job valuing them as people? (worth)

Do your products and services help people become better in their own careers? (competence)

Use these questions to evaluate your business. What can you offer to more effectively meet these basic needs? Meeting them is good business from a good heart.

God Fills What Man Cannot
Ultimately, only Christ completely fulfills these basic needs. You are accepted by Him, highly valued by Him, and competent in Him... always!

As you travel, share this Good News whenever and wherever you have can by meeting people's needs.
