Do You Remember the Golden Rule?
January 20, 2010
Hi,

Do You Remember the Golden Rule?
Salt & Light Volume III, Issue 1 by D. Scott Prindle

"Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." (Matthew 7:12)

Raising Kids
The holidays were reflective for us. familyOur kids have all moved into adulthood. What kind of parents have we been so far? What choices will they make from this point on?

Like most parents, we tried to keep their long-term interests at heart.

We wanted to treat them the way we hoped they would in turn treat us when they left home to venture out into their next phase of life.

When we were kids we learned the "Golden Rule"... "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." This has become a guiding force in our life; in raising our kids, building our business, and pastoring our church.

The Golden Rule impacts our business very significantly. Network Marketing has earned a reputation for using other people in order to advance yourself. Many people still think of Pyramid Schemes when they hear of a Network Marketing opportunity.

Raising Business Leaders
Like anything else, your business reflects either worldly ambitions or Kingdom priorities. Network Marketing that we promote and teach is a relationship business.

UK It's similar to raising children. Time and again it's proven that those who think of what's best for the other person are the most successful.

Pictured here are emerging leaders from Germany, France, Ireland, and England being trained in the UK earlier this month.

The ability to see the long-term consequences of how you lead and coach people is an important asset. Many people can only see the short-term benefits for themselves.

This is the root of many failures in Network Marketing. It is not easily learned. It takes good, patient coaching based in experience.

Raising The Bar
Like good parents, good sponsors look out for their kids. They have love and respect for each person's uniqueness.

Trust becomes the glue that holds things together through the hard times. Living these timeless values makes all the difference.

2010 is the year of relationships. It is going to be a great time of growth both personally and in business. We're looking forward to new friendships and deepening others.

Join us. Make a renewed commitment to the Golden Rule in your own life and business. Work at putting others interests ahead of your own. In the end, you'll become who you want to be.
