Bolt Strikes Again
Salt & Light Volume X, Issue 31 by D. Scott Prindle

"Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it."
(1 Corinthians 9:24) oxen

Usain Bolt strikes again, winning the 100 meter race in Moscow on Sunday night.

Just as he willed his legs to victory at the finish line, a bolt of lightning flashed in the sky just above Luzhniki Stadium!

Bolt is a professing Christian who gives thanks to God for creating him to be the worlds fastest sprinter.

These men and women discovered they were ordained to be Olympic athletes and entrepreneurs... by God's design.

God created you with a specific vision in mind... your vocation. You are uniquely created to reach the people around you. Don't try to be someone you're not.

I've spent a lifetime reminding myself of this truth. Coming to terms with who I am in Christ has been a great source of freedom and power to fulfill my purpose in life.

Be Yourself
We're not all Olympic athletes, but you can reach people others cannot. Your spectators will see Christ revealed in you as you rely on God's grace to do your specific work.

"But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?" (Romans 10:14)

When you're at peace being yourself you're just the right seasoning for the people God sends you to. Christ shines in you. You are being the Church at work, home or wherever.
